The Medical Saunas Traditional 6 is a two-person indoor steam sauna built from Canadian hemlock. The front wall is a full-height tempered glass panel with a glass door and a vertical stainless pull handle, set in a dark-finished frame, while the side and rear walls are solid hemlock with horizontal boards inside and out. The cabin measures 64 in wide by 48 in deep by 78 in high and weighs 405 lb, and the single hemlock bench spans 60 in of the interior width.
Heat comes from a 4,500 W electric sauna stove with a stone tray, housed in a slatted hemlock guard in the front left corner of the cabin. Ladling water from the included bucket onto the heated stones produces steam, or the sauna can be run dry. The stove connects to a dedicated 220–240 V, 30 A circuit through a NEMA L6-30 plug, so a licensed electrician should install the matching receptacle before use. Temperature and session time are set from the touch-style LED control panel on the interior wall beside the door.
The bench has a slatted backrest on the right wall, and the cabin includes a reading light, a built-in speaker system, and a stone bucket, ladle and sauna stones. The sauna ships as prefabricated hemlock wall, roof and floor panels for assembly on a dry, level indoor floor.
