Airvida Lying Hyperbaric Chamber, 1.2–1.5 ATA

Overview

The Airvida Lying Chamber is a soft-shell hyperbaric chamber in a supine configuration, with pressure adjustable from 1.2 to 1.5 ATA by an adjustable pressure knob and ATA valve.

At 230 cm (90") long it accommodates a full lying position rather than a reclined sit — the practical difference between a session you endure and one you can sleep through. Two diameters are offered, 32" (80 cm) and 36" (90 cm), so the chamber can be matched to the user's build and the available floor space.

A stainless steel internal frame holds the chamber's shape under pressure, and a memory foam rebound mattress is included rather than sold separately — worth noting on a chamber intended for hour-long supine sessions.

Glazing. Large double-layered windows run the length of the chamber, considerably more than most soft-shell chambers carry. That changes how enclosed the chamber feels from inside, which for many users is the difference between a tolerable session and an abandoned one.

Construction is high-strength TPU, with a customised multi-layer high-strength TPU specification for the higher pressure build. Access is through dual YKK zippers in a curved configuration with a customised medical-grade silicone seal strip.

Pressure control and safety. Two pressure gauges are fitted, inside and outside, so pressure is legible to both the occupant and an attendant. A manual pressure release valve can be operated from inside or outside the chamber. An emergency release button fully depressurises the chamber in under 90 seconds.

The chamber runs at ≤50 dB — quiet enough for a bedroom or a treatment room without acoustic treatment.

Weight is 12 kg (26 lb) in the 32" size and 15 kg (33 lb) in the 36".
