Airvida Elite Hard Shell Sitting Hyperbaric Chamber — Stainless Steel, 1.3–2.0 ATA, BIBS Oxygen

The Airvida Elite is a seated hard-shell hyperbaric chamber in stainless steel, with four selectable pressure settings — 1.3, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0 ATA.

Oxygen is delivered through a BIBS mask system at 20 LPM, fed by an included all-in-one 20 LPM concentrator running on a custom dual compressor. The occupant breathes concentrated oxygen through a mask while the chamber itself stays on pressurised air — the same architecture used in clinical multiplace chambers, and a different proposition from designs that flood the interior with oxygen.

The interior is conditioned, not just pressurised. An AC chiller cooling system and dehumidification are standard, with double activated carbon filters and an air purification and ionisation system. Over a session of an hour or more, that is the difference between a chamber someone uses regularly and one they stop using.

Monitoring and control. An intuitive touchscreen control board inside the chamber adjusts pressure, cooling and oxygen flow. Digital displays inside and outside show oxygen purity, temperature and humidity, with pressure gauges on both sides — so the occupant is never dependent on someone outside to know what the chamber is doing. A two-way intercom connects inside to outside, and an external phone is included.

Safety. Extra-quiet pressure relief valves, pressure release control operable from inside and outside, and an emergency release.

Interior. A black reclining chair that sits upright or lies back, interior LED lighting on a full-length rail, large side windows and a large transparent door. A hardwired Android tablet is available as part of the media package.

Configuration. Multiple shell colours, chair colour customisation, and custom company name and logo work — worth knowing for a clinic or studio putting the chamber in a client-facing room. Optional add-ons include red light, a media package with TV holder and Bluetooth speaker, and an AC water chiller system.

Before You Buy

Measure the route first. The chamber requires 38" of doorway clearance and weighs 2,100 lb. Check every door, corridor turn, lift and floor along the path, and confirm floor loading at the installation point.

Two dedicated 10-amp 110V circuits are required. Have an electrician confirm the supply before delivery.

The pressure settings are discrete, not continuous. If your protocol needs a pressure between the four steps, this is not the chamber for it.

Confirm the warranty term on the quote. Airvida publishes one year in one place and two years commercial / three years residential in another.

Confirm the regulatory position for your jurisdiction and intended use with your own counsel. Hyperbaric chambers are regulated as prescription devices in the United States, and Airvida's own guidance is that consultation with and approval by a doctor is required before hyperbaric use.

Ask for contraindications and a screening protocol. Untreated pneumothorax is an absolute contraindication to hyperbaric exposure; ear and sinus barotrauma is the common adverse event.

Check your insurance extends to hyperbaric equipment before purchase.
