The Buenospa Alaska Pro is a single-person, freestanding plunge tub with the cooling and heating unit built in. It covers the full range from 36°F to 104°F, so the same tub serves as a cold plunge or a warm soak without swapping equipment or adding a separate chiller.

Cooling and heating from one unit
The 20CR3-SB cool/heat pump is rated to pull 100 litres of water from 73°F down to 41°F in about an hour and a half at 59°F ambient. This tub holds roughly 530 litres (140 gallons), so allow correspondingly longer for a full pull-down from tap temperature; once at setpoint, the insulated cabinet and cover hold it there. On the heating side, Buenospa rates the pump at a COP of 4.05 — 2.1 kW of heat from 500 W of power. The pump operates in ambient temperatures from 23°F to 109°F.

Set it from the tub or your phone
Temperature and settings are managed from the integrated control unit's digital display, or remotely from a smartphone app — so you can have the water where you want it before you walk outside.

Plug and Play, on a standard outlet
The tub connects to a standard 120 V household outlet with a Plug & Play cord — no 240 V service, no hard wiring, no electrician. It draws 12 A (about 1,440 W). That is effectively a full 15 A circuit, so give it a circuit of its own rather than sharing it with other loads, and use GFCI protection for any outdoor installation.

Built to sit outside
The structural frame is Wellis PolyStyrol (WPS), reinforced with polyurethane and insulated with polyfoam — on a chilled tub, that insulation works in your favour, keeping ambient heat out and cutting how hard the chiller has to run. The cabinet is grey with a HorizontSide™ UV-proof, wood-textured plastic side panel that won't grey out, split or need refinishing the way real timber does. The tub is finished in Ice White, with a single contoured headrest at the head end and LED lighting inside the tub and on the outer panel.

Water care
Water circulates through the Crystal Clean System with a superfine cartridge filter, driven by an energy-saving W-EC circulation pump (0.25 kW), with the Ozmix™ system injecting and mixing ozone into the circulating water as part of the water-care routine. One drain. This is a plunge tub, not a hydrotherapy spa — there are no jets.

Before you place it
Filled, the tub holds about 1,170 lb of water; with the 441 lb tub that is roughly 1,610 lb across an 87 × 43 in footprint, or about 62 lb per square foot. Site it on a flat, level slab or a pad rated for that load. Do not place it on a deck, balcony or raised platform without having the structure assessed first. The tub arrives by freight on a pallet and weighs 441 lb empty, so plan for help and a clear path to the final position — it is not a one-person carry.

Warranty
Structure 5 years, shell 3 years, major components 2 years, plumbing 2 years, labour 1 year. Buenospa's limited warranty covers residential use in the US and Canada, extends only to the original purchaser, and ends on transfer of ownership; it is void if non-Buenospa parts are fitted or if the tub is serviced by anyone other than a designated representative. Before you use it
Cold water immersion is not for everyone. Sudden immersion in cold water triggers an involuntary gasp and a sharp rise in heart rate and blood pressure. Talk to your doctor before using a cold plunge if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, circulatory problems, or are pregnant. Never plunge alone, enter gradually rather than jumping in, keep sessions short, and get out immediately if you feel dizzy, numb or short of breath. Keep the cover on and secured when the tub is unattended, particularly where children have access.
