The Lennon is a cedar cube sauna with a covered front porch, seating two to four on a single L-shaped bench that wraps 87 inches around two walls. The cube shape is the point of it: where a barrel loses height toward the edges, a cube gives you full standing headroom across the whole floor — 72.2 inches of it — and square walls to put a bench flat against.
The PrairieFire™ 9 kW heater is rated for 462 cubic feet against a cabin of 124. That is nearly four times the volume it actually has to heat, which is why it reaches 170–185°F in 20 to 30 minutes and holds temperature without working hard. Maximum is 194°F.
A Wi-Fi control panel starts it from your phone, so a half-hour warm-up happens while you are still indoors. The cabin is 30 mm tongue-and-groove cedar with an 8 mm tempered glass door, under a 29-gauge powder-coated galvanized steel roof, and every part of it carries a 5-year warranty.

Cube or Barrel?
Both hold heat well and both use the same PrairieFire™ heater. The difference is the shape of the room:
- A cube gives you full height and usable floor right to the walls, square corners for bench placement, and an exterior that reads as a small garden building. Better if you want to stand up comfortably anywhere in the cabin or if a modern look suits the space.
- A barrel has less air volume for the same footprint and a curve that returns heat downward, but it loses headroom toward the edges. Better if a traditional look suits your garden.
Before You Order
- Measure the footprint. With the porch, the sauna is 69.5 inches wide by 71 inches deep by 78.3 inches tall. Check the route to your chosen spot as well as the spot itself.
- Note the interior depth. The cabin itself is 45 inches deep — the porch takes the rest. It is a compact room with a generous bench, rather than a large room.
- Prepare the base first. It needs a firm, level surface, and it anchors to concrete or with ground stakes. Get this done before the kit arrives.
- You will need a licensed electrician. The heater is hard-wired to a dedicated 240 V, 50 amp circuit — 9,600 watts. That is a substantial circuit, often a panel-capacity question rather than just a cable run, so get it quoted before you order.
- Check local codes and permits. An outdoor structure plus a 50 amp circuit may require a permit or inspection depending on your municipality.
- Allow clearance around the cabin for drainage, airflow and access to the electrical connection, and site it where rain and snow run off cleanly.
Care and Maintenance
- After each use: leave the door ajar so the cabin dries out fully. Trapped moisture is what damages sauna interiors.
- Regularly: wipe the bench down and let it dry, sweep the floor, and clear debris from around the heater and off the porch.
- Annually: inspect the roof, the door seal, the cradles and the anchors, and check the sauna stones — stones break down over time and should be rearranged or replaced when they start to crumble.
- Keep the roof clear of leaves and snow load.
Safety Information
All electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with local codes. Do not use the sauna until the electrical installation is complete and inspected. Pour water only on the sauna stones, never on the heater body or elsewhere in the cabin. Keep the area around the heater clear at all times and never cover it. Do not leave children unattended in or near the sauna, and never leave it running unattended. Assemble on a firm, level base and anchor it as instructed.
Sauna bathing raises your core body temperature and heart rate. Limit sessions, cool down between them and drink water. Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or if you are pregnant. If you have a heart condition, low or high blood pressure, circulatory problems, or any other medical condition, or you are taking medication, consult a qualified physician before using a sauna.
