Cold Plunge Pro

The Vital+ Cold Plunge Pro pairs a 105-gallon insulated tub with the Ultra X2 water chiller. The chiller cools water to as low as 37°F, depending on the air temperature around it. You can set it anywhere from 37°F to 60°F and schedule sessions from the Vital+ mobile app. It runs on a standard household outlet, and once it reaches your set temperature it switches to standby, restarting only when the water drifts about 2°C (3.6°F) out of range.

The Ice Bath Pro tub is made from fiberglass-reinforced PVC with thick 4-inch drop-stitch insulated walls. It inflates to a rigid, elongated shape and packs down into the included carry bag. At 59 in long, it suits users up to about 6 ft 7 in. A lockable insulated lid covers the water between sessions. Inside the chiller, ozone sanitation, a washable sediment filter, and a replaceable 20-micron cartridge work together to keep the water clear. Vital+ says that’s up to 8 weeks between water changes, depending on use.

Setup takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Inflate the tub, connect the two insulated hoses, fill, and plug in.

Setup and care:

• Plug the chiller into a GFCI-protected outlet
• The chiller is splash-resistant (IPX4), not waterproof. Keep it out of standing water and cover it in extreme weather
• A full tub holds about 875 lb of water; place it on a level surface that can support the load
• Wash the internal filters weekly and replace the 20-micron cartridge every 4 to 7 weeks
• In freezing weather, follow the chiller manual’s cold-weather guidance
