A freestanding, one-person cold plunge built to live outdoors. The Lumina arrives fully assembled — set it down, fill it, and plunge. Its tall, narrow shape lets you sit fully upright with your shoulders under the water while taking up barely six square feet of ground, which makes it workable on a patio, a balcony-adjacent slab or a corner of a small yard where a full-length tub would never fit.
Stainless where the water is
The inner chamber is 304 stainless steel. It's non-porous, so it doesn't absorb odours, stain or harbour biofilm the way a plastic liner can, it wipes clean in seconds, and it won't degrade from repeated cold cycling. Outside, a charcoal WPC (wood-plastic composite) shell with a stainless steel strip gives the look of timber without the maintenance — WPC doesn't rot, split, grey out or need resealing every season.
Ice bath now, chilled plunge later
Out of the box this is an ice bath: fill it, add ice, and the insulated PU-leather cover holds the cold and keeps debris out between sessions. But the tub also ships with a chiller hook-up already fitted, so you can add a water chiller later and run it at a set temperature year-round without buying another tub. The chiller itself is not included.
Details that matter in use
Canadian red cedar steps are included for getting in and out — worth having on a tub this tall, and cedar handles wet conditions without treatment. Draining is built in: press down on the water outlet inside the base of the tub and let it empty.

Siting and delivery
Filled, the tub and water weigh roughly 1,234 lb standing on a circle just over 33 inches across — about 205 lb per square foot. Put it on a concrete slab, paver base or firm, level ground. Do not place it on a deck, balcony or raised platform without having the structure assessed by a professional; a vertical tub concentrates far more weight per square foot than a full-length one. Because it ships fully assembled at around 250 lb, plan for freight delivery, help on the day, and a clear path to the final position — it is not a one-person move.
Warranty and returns
One-year limited warranty. Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery; items must be unused and in original condition, and a 15% restocking fee applies if the packaging is damaged. A Return Authorization number is required before shipping anything back.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants a permanent-feeling cold plunge without a permanent installation — small yards and patios especially, where the vertical footprint is the whole point. The built-in chiller hook-up makes it a sensible starting point if you plan to add automated cooling later rather than committing to a full system up front.
Before you use it
Cold water immersion is not for everyone. Sudden immersion in cold water triggers an involuntary gasp and a sharp rise in heart rate and blood pressure. Talk to your doctor before using a cold plunge if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, circulatory problems, or are pregnant. Build tolerance gradually rather than starting with long sessions, never plunge alone, use the steps rather than climbing over the rim, and get out immediately if you feel dizzy, numb or short of breath. Keep the cover on and secured when the tub is unattended, particularly where children have access — this is a deep, straight-sided tub and an open one is a drowning hazard.
