The ComforPedic from Beautyrest set pairs a 12-inch NRGel memory foam mattress with a matching adjustable base, available in twin XL, queen, and split king. The mattress has a medium feel built from a 3-inch top layer of NRGel gel-infused memory foam that draws heat away from the surface, a 1-inch support foam transition layer, and a high-density base foam, all enclosed in a stretch-knit polyester cover with a zipper.
The adjustable base raises the head and foot independently for reading, watching TV, or sleeping with the legs elevated. Three preset positions are built in: media, which raises the head for screen viewing; lounge, which raises both head and feet moderately; and zero gravity, which lifts the head and feet together to take pressure off the lower back. Custom positions can be set from the wireless remote, which includes a built-in flashlight for finding it or the floor in the dark, or from a free smartphone and tablet app. Under-bed LED lighting provides soft illumination for getting up at night. The base stands on 15-inch legs and works with a standard headboard using bracket hardware, sold separately.
The king set consists of two twin XL mattresses on two independent bases, so each side raises, lowers, and sets positions separately; the twin XL and queen sets use a single mattress and base.
