The XR Kiosk is a fully enclosed electric whole body cryotherapy chamber designed to run without an operator present. Cryo Innovations describes it as the first and only autonomous, self-regulating electric cryotherapy chamber.

The business case is structural rather than incremental. A conventional chamber needs a staff member for every session, which puts a floor under the cost of each one and makes early-morning, late-night and low-traffic hours uneconomic. The Kiosk moves that work into the machine: a client gains access by RFID or phone, completes their waiver and payment in the built-in system, sets their own session preferences, and the chamber runs and regulates the session itself. Operating hours stop being a staffing decision.

Cooling is electric. Air is super-cooled and delivered into the cabin; the manufacturer reports an in-cabin sensation of around −180 °F with wind chill. Because there is no liquid nitrogen anywhere in the system, there is no dewar to store or secure, no delivery schedule, no gas supplier to depend on, no per-session consumable cost, and no oxygen-displacement hazard — which is the specific risk that makes unattended operation of a nitrogen chamber a non-starter.

The unit is self-contained and sized for a room of about 36 square feet. It requires only minimal ventilation and no roof penetration, so it can go into a leased space without structural work. Power is 220 V three-phase.

Sessions run about three minutes, giving roughly 15 sessions per hour, and the manufacturer rates the chamber for 8–10 hours of continuous daily operation.

Because no one is watching the session, supervision is engineered rather than staffed. Thermal imaging, plus temperature, humidity and motion sensors, monitor the cabin throughout. Door alarms detect entry and exit. Presence verification ties the session to the person who paid for it — the Kiosk shuts down if that specific user is not present. Waiver tracking is handled in the point-of-sale system; the mobile app manages payment, payment plans, personalized chamber settings and music control.
