The Window Edition is the flagship of the XR Cryo Plunge line: the same insulated acrylic tub and chiller system, with a clear acrylic side panel running along the tub wall.

The window changes how the tub feels to sit in. An enclosed plunge tub is a dark box at chest height; a clear side panel opens it up, cuts the closed-in feeling, and lets you see the water rather than just feel it. For a studio or a dedicated home space it also makes the tub a visible piece of equipment rather than a solid shell in the corner — and practically, you can check water clarity at a glance instead of lifting the cover.

Cold and hot from one tub. The unit ships with Cryo Innovations' 2025 Chiller/Heater, so the same tub covers cold plunging and warm soaking without a second installation.

Water care runs continuously. A circulating pump, micron filtration and an integrated ozone filtration system keep the water clean between changes. The tub ships with a three-month supply of non-chlorine water care chemicals, so it is ready to run on delivery rather than waiting on a separate chemistry order — a small thing that matters on the first weekend.

A headrest is included, which matters more than it sounds for longer sits: without one, the back of the neck rests on a hard acrylic lip.

Installation is a two-step process with no permanent plumbing and no contractor, indoors or outdoors, running from a standard outlet. An optional Water Catcher Step (49.5" L × 22" W × 3.25" H) sits at the tub side to catch runoff on exit — worth having anywhere the tub stands on a finished floor.

Before You Buy

Confirm the filled weight before siting it. At roughly 85–90 gallons, water alone is around 700–750 lb before the tub and occupant. On a deck, balcony, upper floor or anything other than a slab, have the structure checked.

Plan drainage and floor protection. Water leaves the tub with the user — the Water Catcher Step exists for this reason, and on a finished floor it is not optional in practice.

Confirm outdoor suitability for your climate, particularly freeze protection and the chiller's rated ambient range.

• Never plunge alone. Cold shock response — an involuntary gasp and rapid breathing on entry — can be dangerous in water, and its severity is not predictable from experience.
• Enter gradually and control breathing before full immersion.
• Limit session duration and watch for shivering, numbness or disorientation on exit.
• Do not use after alcohol or when significantly fatigued.
• Anyone with a cardiovascular condition, high or low blood pressure, arrhythmia, Raynaud's, a seizure disorder, or who is pregnant should consult a qualified physician before cold immersion, as should anyone taking medication affecting heart rate or blood pressure.
• Supervise all first-time users.
