The Dynamic Fluid Fitness S680 Timber is a water-resistance rowing machine with an American ash wood frame, built for home gyms and light commercial settings such as studios and hotel fitness rooms where the machine's appearance matters as much as its function. At 62 lb it is the lightest rower in the Dynamic Fluid line, and it stands upright on its end for storage in a 21 x 20 in footprint.

Resistance comes from a twin-chamber water tank with a five-position Fluid Force selector: turning the dial changes how much water the impeller works against, so the stroke can be set from light to heavy before the session, and because the resistance is the water itself, rowing harder at any setting produces more load. The tank uses a double-sealed, precision-aligned shell and an impeller design the manufacturer rates at 15 percent more resistance than its earlier horizontal models. A belt drive with an active recoil system keeps the return stroke quiet.

The Bluetooth auto-adjust performance monitor reads the tank setting automatically and displays time, speed, distance, stroke rate, calories per hour, watts and the current level, with a built-in heart rate receiver for standard chest straps and a Bluetooth link to the Fluid Workout app. The contoured, textured seat rides along a rail fitted with brushes that sweep grit away on every stroke, footplates adjust for height with heel cups, and the molded handle is shaped for an even grip. Transport wheels let one person tip and roll the rower, and an optional Elevate kit raises the seat height for easier on and off access. The S680 supports users up to 330 lb.
