The Echelon Stride is a folding treadmill built around one idea: that a treadmill you have to wrestle into a corner is a treadmill you stop using. It auto-folds flat to 10.25 inches, low enough to slide under a bed or a sofa, and transport wheels and a carry handle let one person move it there.
Unfolded it is a full treadmill rather than a walking pad. Speed runs to 12 mph, motorized incline goes to 10%, and the deck is 20 by 55 inches with air cushioning underneath. The frame carries a 300 lb maximum user weight.
Eight workout programs are built into the console and run without any app or account. Bluetooth connects the treadmill to the Echelon Fit app if you want instructor-led classes, which is a separate paid subscription, and the extra-large device holder takes a tablet or phone for whatever else you would rather watch.

Before You Order
- The app is a separate subscription. The treadmill's eight built-in programs run without it, but instructor-led classes require a paid Echelon Fit membership billed by Echelon. Budget for it if that is why you are buying.
- Check where it will live folded. 10.25 inches clears most beds and sofas, but measure your intended gap rather than assuming.
- It is 156 lb. The wheels and handle make it movable across a flat floor by one person; getting it up a flight of stairs is a two-person job.
- The deck is 55 inches. That suits walking, jogging and interval running well. Taller runners doing sustained fast running may want to compare against a 60-inch deck.
- Ceiling height. Add your height to the deck height and remember incline raises the front of the machine.
Care and Maintenance
- After each use: wipe down the console, handlebars and side rails.
- Monthly: check belt tension and centring, and follow the manual's deck lubrication schedule.
- Regularly: vacuum beneath and around the motor cover with the treadmill unplugged.
- Always: unplug before cleaning, folding for extended storage, or any maintenance.
Safety Information
Always clip the safety stop lanyard to your clothing before starting a workout. Start the belt at a low speed and step on from the side rails rather than mounting a moving belt. Keep children and pets away from the treadmill while it is running, and keep the area behind the machine clear. Do not exceed the 300 lb maximum user weight. Use on a flat, level, hard surface, and remove the safety key when the treadmill is not in use. Keep hands and feet clear of the deck while the auto-fold mechanism is operating.
Pulse, distance and calorie figures shown on the console are estimates intended for tracking your own activity over time. They are not medical measurements and should not be relied on for any clinical purpose. If you have a heart, joint, balance or mobility condition, or you have been inactive for a long period, consult a qualified physician before starting a new exercise routine.
