The North Shore Sauna Mini Cube is a 2-person wood-fired sauna tent, designed in Duluth, Minnesota, that sets up almost anywhere: a small patio, a backyard corner, or a backcountry campsite. The tent covers a 5-foot-square footprint and packs into a 43-inch carry bag weighing about 30 lb, so it fits in a car trunk and can be hiked to a remote spot.
The tent walls are insulated 300D Oxford fabric stretched over a fiberglass rod frame with metal hubs, and a removable rain cover goes on top to shield your session from wind, rain, and snow. Heat comes from a compact wood-burning stove, sold separately or included in the Starter package and above. The stove vents through a 3 5/8-inch chimney opening in the tent. Because the space is small, the Mini Cube heats quickly, typically reaching 200°F or more in about 15-20 minutes. Ladle water over hot sauna stones for traditional löyly steam, just like in a cabin sauna.
