Lifespan Fitness Viper M4 – Full-Size Running Treadmill with 18-Level Auto Incline
The Viper M4 is a full-size treadmill built for running rather than walking. A 3.75 CHP EverDrive® H7X brushless motor drives a 1500 × 520 mm DuraGrip® AS Ultra belt to 20 km/h, and the frame carries a 180 kg maximum user weight — a figure that puts it well clear of most home treadmills.
The belt is the specification worth dwelling on. At 520 mm wide and 1500 mm long, it gives a genuine running stride width instead of the narrow deck common at this size, which is what makes the difference between a treadmill you can run on properly and one you have to concentrate on. Underneath it, ShockControl™ Advanced cushioning absorbs impact through the deck, and the deck sits at a natural incline at base level.
This is a fixed-frame machine. It does not fold, and at 107.5 kg it stays where you put it — worth planning for before it arrives.
Key Features
3.75 CHP EverDrive® H7X brushless motor — speeds to 20 km/h
- 3.75 CHP continuous-duty brushless motor.
- Speed range 1.0 to 20 km/h, covering walking through to sprint intervals.
- Brushless construction runs quieter and needs less maintenance than a brushed motor.
- PWM speed control with fuseless current limit.
Wide commercial-size running belt — 1500 × 520 mm
- DuraGrip® AS Ultra belt, 1500 mm long by 520 mm wide.
- The 520 mm width gives room for a natural running stride rather than a constrained one.
- Textured anti-slip surface.
- Sized for running, not just walking or light jogging.
18-level automatic incline
- 18 incline levels, adjusted from the console.
- Maximum incline 5.33 degrees, approximately a 9% grade.
- Quick-select incline at levels 3, 6 and 9.
- Incline level is shown on the console throughout the workout.
ShockControl™ Advanced cushioning
- Cushioning system built into the deck to absorb footstrike impact.
- Reduces the jarring of running on an unsprung deck.
- Deck sits at a natural incline at base level.
27 workout programs
- 24 preset programs covering a range of speed and incline profiles.
- 3 custom user programs you can build and save.
- Countdown modes for time, distance or calorie targets.
- Quick-select speed at 3, 6 and 9 for fast changes mid-run.
Console and workout data
- LCD console showing time, speed, incline level, distance, pulse and estimated calories.
- FitLink compatible for syncing workout data.
- Bluetooth audio connectivity.
- Grip pulse sensors in the handrails.
180 kg maximum user weight
- Tubular steel frame rated to 180 kg.
- Well above the 100–120 kg typical of home treadmills.
- Machine net weight 107.5 kg, which is part of what keeps it stable at speed.
Safety systems
- Magnetic safety key that cuts the belt if the user separates from the machine.
- Overload and short-circuit protection.
- Full-length side rails for stepping on and off a stationary belt.

Before You Order
- It does not fold. The Viper M4 has a fixed frame and needs a permanent 193.5 × 83 cm floor position, plus clearance behind it for safe dismount.
- Plan the delivery. At 107.5 kg it is a two-person lift, and it arrives partially assembled in a box. Check doorway and stairway access before ordering.
- Ceiling height matters. The console stands 149 cm high before you add the height of the person running, and incline raises the deck further. Low-ceiling rooms and under-stair spaces are usually not viable.
- Heart rate is grip-based only. This model does not pair with a wireless chest strap, so if you train to heart rate zones, factor that in.
- Power. Supplied for a 220–240 V mains supply.
Care and Maintenance
- After each use: wipe down the console, handrails and side rails.
- Monthly: check belt tension and centring, and lubricate the deck per the manual's schedule.
- Regularly: vacuum beneath and around the motor cover to keep dust from building up, with the machine unplugged.
- Always: unplug before cleaning or maintenance, and keep the safety key removed when the treadmill is not in use.
Safety Information
Always attach the magnetic safety key before starting a workout. Start the belt at a low speed and step on from the side rails rather than mounting a moving belt. Keep children and pets away from the treadmill while it is running, and keep the area behind the machine clear. Do not exceed the 180 kg maximum user weight. Use on a flat, level, hard surface and remove the safety key when the treadmill is not in use.
Pulse readings from the grip sensors, along with distance and calorie figures, are estimates intended for tracking your own activity over time. They are not medical measurements and should not be relied on for any clinical purpose. If you have a heart, joint, balance or mobility condition, or you have been inactive for a long period, consult a qualified physician before starting a new exercise routine.
