SunSwell Outdoor Traditional Barrel Sauna with Dual Dry & Steam Function

Bring a true Nordic-style sauna to your backyard. The SunSwell barrel sauna seats four to six people on two long facing benches inside a solid-wood barrel measuring 85" long, 71.8" wide, and 91.7" tall, so the whole family or a group of friends can share a session under the open sky. A full-height 8 mm tempered glass door flanked by two picture windows lets natural light in and keeps the view of your garden or patio while you relax.

At its heart is a 6 kW stainless steel electric heater mounted on the rear wall behind a wooden guard rail, with a basket of volcanic sauna stones on top. Run it as a dry sauna, or ladle water over the hot stones for bursts of soft steam in the traditional Finnish style. The heater brings the cabin to sauna temperature in about 15-20 minutes and reaches a maximum of 195°F (90°C), far hotter than infrared cabins, for the deep, enveloping heat traditional sauna-goers expect. An external digital control unit lets you set temperature and session time before you step in, and an included wall thermometer lets you keep an eye on conditions from the bench.

The barrel shape isn't just for looks. Its curved walls circulate hot air evenly and minimize dead space, so the heater warms the cabin faster and holds temperature with less energy. Thick tongue-and-groove solid wood staves are pulled tight by adjustable steel tension bands, a waterproof insulated roof tarp with elastic straps sheds rain and snow and locks in heat, and two sturdy wooden cradles lift the barrel off the ground for airflow and drainage. A slatted wooden step at the door makes the entry comfortable.

The complete kit includes the 6 kW heater, sauna stones, control unit, thermometer, waterproof roof tarp, tension straps, wooden step, and installation tools. The sauna ships flat in 13 cartons for assembly on site. It requires a dedicated 220-240V electrical connection, hardwired by a licensed electrician; no power cord is included, and it will not run on a standard 120V outlet.
