Overview
The XR ISO Lite is a handheld localized cryotherapy device from Cryo Innovations, delivering concentrated −80 °F (−62 °C) CO₂ air to a targeted area of the body or face. Where a whole body chamber cools everything at once, a localized device lets the operator work one site at a time under direct control, at a fraction of the footprint and installation cost.
At roughly 5 lb and 12" long it is genuinely handheld rather than cart-mounted, and it runs from a standard 110V outlet — so it moves between treatment rooms or travels to a site without dedicated electrical work. It is made in the USA.
Two features separate it from a bare cold-spray applicator. An onboard thermal imaging camera shows surface temperature in real time as the operator works, so cooling is guided by what the tissue is actually doing rather than by a stopwatch. Advanced proximity sensors govern working distance — the variable that most affects how much cold actually reaches the skin. (The thermal imaging camera is not for medical purposes and is intended for information only.)
Wi-Fi is built in. Procedures and results are tracked and uploaded automatically, so session records accumulate without anyone writing them down.
The unit runs on pressurized CO₂ from an external cylinder — a commodity gas available from any local welding or beverage-gas supplier, with no proprietary cartridge and no single-source dependency. The mechanism is rated for a minimum of five hours of continuous CO₂ spraying, and target areas cool in approximately 3–5 minutes.
A Pelican carrying case is available separately.

Before You Buy
CO₂ cylinder and regulator are not supplied with the device. Confirm cylinder size, fitting and regulator specification before the first appointment, and set up an account with a local gas supplier.
Ventilate the treatment room. CO₂ is heavier than air and accumulates at low level in enclosed spaces. A handheld device in a normally ventilated room is not a concern, but a small windowless room running back-to-back sessions deserves adequate airflow.
